SUNNYVALE, CA-JUNE 11, 2003-AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced that it has been recognized as the best supplier to Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. for 2002 for its Flash memory products. The corporate-level award is the highest honor given to suppliers from Samsung. This year's award citation acknowledges AMD for its "outstanding support and extensive contributions to Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd."

This is AMD's third prestigious award from Samsung in recent years. AMD earned a best supplier award from Samsung's Wireless Terminal Division in 2000, and best supplier for the first half of 2002 from Samsung's Digital Media Systems business unit. "Helping our customers succeed remains our number one priority," said Dr. Bertrand Cambou, senior vice president of AMD's Memory Group. "The recognition we've earned from Samsung as a supplier over the years reflects that commitment. We are pleased to be recognized by Samsung for this high honor. And we look forward to delivering even more innovative memory solutions to maximize customer value for them in the future." The award was given by Samsung Electronics' Vice Chairman and CEO Jong Yong Yun and presented to Bertrand Cambou on March 18, 2003.
