VIA Pronounces ‘Total Connectivity: The Revolution’ as the Theme for VTF2003 in September

Fourth annual VIA Technology Forum in Taipei and Beijing in September 2003 to showcase how developing innovative open architecture technology platforms will enable the industry to design for the future

Taipei, Taiwan, 26 June 2003 - VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today announced that the VIA Technology Forum 2003 (VTF2003) will be held in Taipei on Wednesday 24th September and Beijing on Friday 26th September 2003, with a theme of ‘Total Connectivity: The Revolution’.

Firmly established as a key technology event in the global IT calendar, VTF2003 will once again bring VIA’s global industry partners together with representatives from the region’s PC infrastructure in an open industry forum designed to deliver strategic insights and innovative ideas. A compelling program of keynote presentations and technology seminars following the themes of Performance Computing and Connected Lifestyle will examine the technologies, applications and market metrics for the industry, and help define key directions for the industry.

VTF2003 will demonstrate how the hardware, communications and applications communities through specialist technology tracks and panel discussions covering two main themes:

Performance Computing
Tracking the key technologies that will drive further advances in performance in home and enterprise systems, including performance processing, memory advances, and connectivity technologies.

Connected Lifestyle
Covering a range of topics related to elements of the Total Connectivity lifestyle, from technology trends in notebooks, mobile devices and phones, to digital media platforms and embedded applications, with a focus on real end market applications.

VTF2003 will take place during the week of the rescheduled Computex 2003, the most important IT trade show in the region, being held in Taipei, Taiwan from 20-26 September, providing maximum synergy for overseas partners, sponsors, customers and the media.
