The G-Mark, sponsored by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization (JIDPO) is awarded for companies who develop new technologies that bring together the best in form and function. The awards are recognised across the Asia-Pacific region by consumers and research by JIDPO suggests that it is plays a major part in most consumer purchasing decisions.
ASUS Award-winning products were its S5, M5, M6, W1 and V6 notebooks; J101, 102 and P505 mobile handsets, the MyPal A730 Pocket PC-based handheld device and the WL-530G and WL-HDD 2.5 wireless networking devices.
Allen Yen, Sales Director for ASUSTek UK explains, “ASUS’ heritage has always been about delivering top end functionality alongside leading edge design. Our W-series notebooks, for example, offer both business users and consumers the best combination of features (integrated DVB-T digital TV tuner and subwoofer speaker) and subtle design features such as hidden hinges and a carbon fibre chassis.
“We see awards like the Japanese G-Mark as independent recognition of our achievements in both of these areas which enable our customers to buy in the confidence that our products are proven to offer an unrivalled experience.
