Truth be told, I'm still feeling the effects of a long week out at COMPUTEX in Taipei, Taiwan. But flying halfway around the world is no excuse when it comes to putting out content for a technology website. This week we've given some tasty components the once-over.

These two products come in at the premium end of the market. be quiet!, well-known in the German market, looks to make some noise, or not, with its Dark Power Pro 10 PSU. Meanwhile, Gigabyte straps its ever-popular WindForce 3x cooler on top of a GeForce GTX 680 GPU and the results are not quite what you may expect.

There's fast, there's super-fast, and then there's the Scan 3XS Carbon SLI PC. Armed with two GeForce GTX 690 GPUs in SLI and powered by Intel's six-core, 12-thread Core i7 3930X CPU, overclocked, this monster benchmarks like no other. Switching over to a completely different field, Power Ethernet offers something rather new and useful. Click here to find out more.

Perhaps the bargain of the week is the SandForce-powered Kingston HyperX 3K SSD at SCAN. Retailing for £64.99, thus making it the cheapest high-performance SSD for its capacity, HEXUS readers can benefit from free postage, too! Heck, if you don't want to pay a penny for hardware, why not enter our AMD APU competition to be in with a chance of snagging a desktop PC. Hurry, folks, because it finishes tonight.

In other news, an Australian retailer is levying a tax for using IE7, Apple's upcoming iOS 6 drops Google Maps, we examine why Sony came third in the hard-fought console race, Apple hits the headlines again with the super-lush MacBook Pro, complete with Retina display, and there be leaked screenshots of Windows Phone 8 'Apollo.' I'm off to pray for an England victory tonight; catch you all on Monday.
