Lucky Star Unveils New Fanless Mini-ITX Motherboard


First in a series of VIA Eden(tm) Platform-based Mini-ITX
motherboards from Lucky Star becomes available


Taipei, Taiwan, 10 July 2002 - VIA Technologies, Inc, a
leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform
solutions, today announced that the fanless VIA Eden(tm) Platform will feature
on the new LIVE 1000 Embedded System motherboard from Lucky Star Technology Co.,
Ltd.


"Our customers have been inquiring after this product
since the launch of the VIA Eden Platform," said Jackson Wang, Vice President of
Sales at Lucky Star Technology Co., Ltd. "We decided to develop a fanless Mini-ITX
motherboard after the phenomenal interest that was generated by the VIA Eden
Platform at CeBIT in Germany this year."


The new Mini-ITX form factor board boasts a fanless VIA
Eden ESP 6000 processor together with all the usual Mini-ITX features: onboard
graphics, audio, USB, LAN with optional DOC and TV-Out, all on an ultra compact
17cm × 17cm motherboard.

the VIA Eden(tm) Platform offers are making Mini-ITX mainboards attractive to an
increasing number of markets, as more variations of the form factor become

Platform (VE1000


series) and boasts features such as ultra low power
consumption, fanless operation and the highly integrated VIA Apollo PLE133
chipset on the popular Mini-ITX motherboard form factor. Other impressive
features include integrated graphics, audio, USB, LAN and optional TV-Out. It
also includes optional DOC, 3 Audio Jacks, PS/2 Keyboard /Mouse ports and a PCI
slot. Full compatibility with standard ATX power supplies and chasses, further
enhance its versatility and ease-of-use for system integrators and enthusiasts
alike.
