More Moto
Motorola is clearly preparing itself for a big mobile device launch, possibly its last before being incorporated into Google, if the flood of leaks over the past few days is anything to go by.
The ex-Engadgeteers at The Verge have got hold of apparent press pics of the Atrix 2, which will become Moto's new flagship smartphone, having had a play with it previously. The key reported specs are 4.3-inch qHD display, and 8MP camera and, what seems to be a TI OMAP 4430 SoC. The first Atrix had a Tegra, so that's a bit of a setback for NVIDIA.
Engadget itself has grabbed some far more informal pics of not one but two successors to Moto's Xoom Android tablet. There's a 10.1 inch one and then a special, 8.2 inch, ‘Media Edition' one, which seems designed to be as thin and light as possible - allowing users to hold it one-handed, as they would an e-reader. Speculation, once more is focusing on an OMAP SoC.
The two sites seem to be playing nice, judging by the extent to which they link to each other, which makes a nice change after all the AOL/Arrington acrimony of recent weeks. The Verge goes 2-1 up on Moto leaks however, with details of the Droid RAZR, which aims to resurrect the iconic feature-phone brand. Apart from the name, though, it's not clear what the big difference will be between the RAZR and the Atrix 2. We'll presumably find out pretty soon.
