High expectations for Steve Jobs to deliver
You can picture it now, flocks of people wearing iPods, carrying Macbooks and all having one thing in common; a love for Apple.
As Macworld 2008 draws near, crowds descend on the Moscone Centre in San Francisco, where some Apple fans have been queueing for days.
Why the excitement? Macworld is the annual event where Apple has become renowned for launching some of its biggest products. Last year, the iPhone took to the stage as part of Apple CEO Steve Jobs' keynote speech and remained in the spotlight throughout the year.
As another Macworld draws near, speculation is nothing short of exasperating as rumours of a new Ultra Slim Macbook (allegedly named the Macbook Air), a revamped Apple TV, movie rentals on iTunes and even a Mac Tablet are rife on the internet.
With so much hype surrounding the event, and a rather disappointing CES last week, Apple has the opportunity this evening to capture the eyes of the watching media once again. Oh, and just so you know, the Apple Store is now down, an event that usually occurs before the release of new products.
