Is it your hobby to slide magnets up and down mobile devices? Perhaps not, however, for some, it is, and, sometimes a magnet can reveal the most interesting things. Take Google's latest Nexus 7 tablet for instance; YouTube user wwscoggin discovered that when sliding a magnet along the device's bezel, it not only attaches itself towards the bottom left but, that the device responds to the action by placing itself into sleep mode.

To save users the trouble of a false diagnosis, the Android community has confirmed that this feature isn't present on any other devices currently on the market and so, if your magnet does clamp onto anything, it's probably just an internal speaker driver. It'll be most interesting, of course, to see if this iPad-like Smart Cover functionality will have a cover pop-up in the Google Play store to match it any time soon.

I don't why, but lately when ever I see a good idea being demonstrated I immediately think that someone will be looking to file a Patent infringement case against it.

You know what, that was the first thing I thought of too!
The world has become a miserable place for innovation and design
