HTC Hit?
HTC has unveiled new versions of three of its most successful smartphones- the HTC Desire S, Wildfire S and Incredible S.
The HTC Desire S is inspired but another HTC model- the Legend, as it is crafted from a single block of aluminium. Inside, there is Qualcomm's 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8255 processor. The phone also boasts dual front and back cameras, HD-video recording and a 3.7 inch WVGA display.
Meanwhile, the smaller and cheaper Wildfire S is compact at 10.13cm by 5.94 cm with a 3.2 inch HVGA screen. It will come in 3 flavours: black, purple and white, with a 5MP camera and expandable microSD memory. We did notice that the physical buttons and trackball seem to have disappeared on both the Wildfire S and the Desire S.
Last but not least, HTC's Incredible S phone touts a contoured body with a 4 inch WVGA Super LCD display and stereo surround sound for watching films. It includes an 8MP camera with dual flash plus DNLA technology. The handset can also be used for video calls with its front-facing camera.
Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation, said: "These new phones offer an exhilarating mix of style, innovation and features that extend people's mobile experience in ways that feel personal and completely original."
All the phones will hit the shops in Europe and Asia in Q2 2011.
*Update* Orange has confirmed it will stock all three handsets from their launch in Q2 2011.
