Crytek and EA have launched the original PC hit Crysis for both Xbox 360 and PS3. Now available via the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network, Crysis will set you back Ā£14.99 or 1600 Microsoft Points.

"We're really excited to bring the legendary Crysis to gamers who weren't able to experience it the first time around," said Cevat Yerli, Chief Executive Officer of Crytek. "The CryENGINE 3 has allowed us to remaster the single-player campaign and make significant advancements to the gameplay. We've added a new lighting system, some advanced rendering techniques and most importantly, we've optimized the Nanosuit controls to utilize its full potential on a gamepad. We really hope that gamers will enjoy playing the game as much as we've enjoyed developing it."

In 2007 Crysis made a huge impact on the gaming industry with its next-generation technology, ground-breaking gameplay and jaw-dropping visuals earning the title a vast array of awards. It sure was good.

The quality doesn't look very good. From a PC gaming perspective, that is a very good thing as it should show the difference between a console game and a true pc game (not a port).
Bring a PC heavyweight to a console …. sigh! There's limits to stupidity.
Only highlights the limitations of games consoles with non-upgradeable graphics implementation.

There are other bottle necks but they are like open chasms compared to the tensed sphincter that is a static graphics solution in the current market!
