Nintendo have a budget of £10-£11 million dollars for their online and TV marketing campaign for Wii, the most money they've ever invested in promoting a product. Speaking to New Age Media, Nintendo's product manager, Robert Lowe, also revealed the slogan that Wii's marketing will revolve around.

"We're just in the final stages of putting our media plan together for Wii, but in terms of online our spend is way more than anything we've done before," said Lowe.

"There will be three main channels through which we'll be communicate Wii - online, TV and sampling - and of the top line ad budget of £10m-£11m, leading up to the December launch, a large proportion is going online."

Nintendo have said that in the lead up to launch it will difficult to avoid the "Wii Move You" campaign as they plan advertisements that will appear on some of the largest web portals, including Yahoo, Lycos and MSN.

"Particularly over the launch week we'll completely take them over - you'll go online and see Wii everywhere," said Lowe.
