The Nintendo press conference in Japan has revealed that Wii will be released on the 2nd December at the price of 25,000 yen. Reports from a number of U.S sites state that the US release date will be November 19th and the console will be priced at $250.

There's still no official press release from Nintendo, but the news has apparently come from attendees at the event. Other information from the press event and from a number of U.S broadsheets is as follows:

# Over 25 first/third party titles are to be available during the launch period, with 30 in stores by the end of 2006.
# Prices will be $50 for first party titles, but currently unclear as to what other company’s will price their games.
# Virtual Console pricing is said to be $5-$10.
# Wii Nunchuka controller to be sold seperately.(approx $15)

The U.S price and launch date has not been confirmed (but the above details are strongly rumoured to be the correct), the Japanese details are correct.

The European release date and price is expected on Friday.
