Game Reactor has news that Wii's Opera web-browser will soon receive an upgrade that will make surfing the net a whole lot easier.

As you can see from the screenshot below, the new look browser will sport a host of new buttons, tabbed browsing for up to 6 tabs and will also allow users to access their Wii mail.

Opera Version 2.0 will also be compatible with the microphone accessory, Wii Speak and will be free to existing Opera users. New users will have to fork out 500 Nintendo Points.

The upgraded browser will be available to download in December.

looks good.
Who actually uses their Wii for surfing the Net? By the time I had got to the channel and typed anything using the wii-mote I may as well have gone to the other room and had a better experiance typing on a keyboard using a real browser.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for improvements its just to make me use it it would have to be astonishingly good like i turned it on and it knew where I wanted to go through the power of my mind I just find typing with an on-screen keyboard to be far to much hassle.
It works with the BBC iplayer. My parents use their wii for that quite frequently!
Also cant you plug a usb keyboard in now?
