Kratos has an arsenal of gloriously vicious moves at his disposal as he slices and dices anything that stands in his path, ripping heads clean of necks, or using his metal boxing gloves to beat enemies into a bloody mess. The sheer variety of magic and melee-based weapons puts the creativity in your hands to cause utter carnage and violence on a unprecedented level.

My copy dispatched this morning, come on Amazon - don't let me down. I completed the God of War: Collection just to refresh my memory of the storyline and general controls. Can't wait!
It's release day tomorrow! Maybe this will make up your minds.

Nope. still not getting it.

Can I ask why? God of War series is often hailed as the swan song of the PS2. And is usually up there in the “games to play before you die” list. Honestly, the only reason I bought a PS3 (just a few weeks ago) was just to play this game.
im not a big fan of hack and slash games. i may give this a go and teh trailer does look brilliant but i may wait until the game comes down in price.

i have played the psp version and got a bit bored of it as all it was is a hack and slash type of game with next to no storyline.

i guess its not fair to compare the two but the psp version was hailed as the best psp game ever.

i have had a ps2 as well but god of war 1 and 2 never interested me at the time.

I personally think anyone who owns a PS2/PS3 is doing themselves a disservice by not owning any of the God of War series. It is gaming at its greatest. I do agree that the story isn’t properly revealed/introduction at first, but you get more of an idea of what drives a monster like Kratos during the game.

Another plus point, is the God of War series requires some skill to complete. Button bashing will only get you so far in the game, until you are royally owned by a couple of the enemies.

God of War: Collection is due to be released in mid-April here in the UK, so I can only suggest that you at least rent it :rockon2:
