Germany's leading S.T.A.L.K.E.R community site has made a bold move and is boycotting the post-apocalyptic first-person action game S.T.A.L.K.E.R in an attempt to urge THQ to fix a number of problems that currently plague the single player component.
The statement on the website reads:
Five year's ago, we founded today's leading S.T.A.L.K.E.R fansite, in the time span of just a few weeks,we accomplished to create an intensive collaboration with the developer GSC Game World and provided recent news firsthand - but to this day, THQ has not been able to arrange a working and optimal patch policy for both sides.
We are on strike - for so long until something changes and THQ US feel like releasing already completed patches and don't wait for weeks or even months, until the patch is available in every single localisation.
According to reports, S.T.A.L.K.E.R was riddled with bugs on release and recent patches have failed to fix stability. It remains to be seen whether the website's strike action will encourage THQ to take the necessary steps to fix the issues.
