In July this year, Shenmue Online was back on the agenda when Sega released a new trailer detailing some of the features and snippets of the plot of this MMORPG. Japanese website 4 Gamers, via Gamespot, have now revealed a new trailer and more information on the title, inckuding news of over 1,000 combat moves and 150 quests.
Producer, Sakura Taisen, revealed the new trailer at the China Joy expo but unfortunately didn't give any details of the expected launch date.
Shenmue Online's world will geared specifically for online play and will include over 1200 buildings/locations, and it will even be possible for each player to have his or her own house.
Shenmue Online is a MMO action RPG in which tens of thousands of players from across the globe participate in the virtual world of Yu Suzuki's Shenmue, staged in China in the 1980s. Players can explore the vast, realistic world and use their kung-fu martial arts and weapon techniques in realtime fighting action. Sega and JC Entertainment are jointly handling the game development and online gameplay management, with Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki supervising the persistent online game experience.
