Straight from the Call of Duty XP event in Los Angeles, a new Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer trailer gives us a taste of what's to come in the latest installment of the hugely-popular franchise..
The regular game modes are all there - including Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch and Ground War - but there's also a brand new mode dubbed 'Kill Confirm3d', details of which are yet to be seen.
The trailer shows the usual loadouts with all the various weapons slots and also a new 'Proficiency' feature, enabling players to choose 'Strike Packages' that include a choice of Assault, Specialist and Support, all of which feature three slots for added perks. Each Strike Package has three different 'Strike Chains', enabling you to call in support after multiple kills, much like Killstreaks in previous Call of Duty titles.
From what we can see, Strike Packages come with their own perks which include Assassin, Quick draw, Stalker, Recon, Dead Silence, Extreme Conditioning, Sitrep, Sitrep Pro, Blast Shield, Blind Eye Pro and Overkill Pro.
Strike Chains, which enable you to call in various support, include UAVs, AH-6 Overwatch Support, Airdrop Traps, Remote Turrets, EMP, Ballistic Vests, Recon Drones, Stealth Bombers and also access to more useful perks such as Marksman Pro, Steady Aim Pro and Scavenger Pro.
As far as weapons are concerned, we recognise the following in the trailer, M4, ACR 6.8, M320 GLB, Dragunov, FMG9, frag and flash grenades, something that looks like an EMP grenade and a devastating WWII era Bouncing Betty.
Check out the trailer below and keep an eye out for Modern Warfare 3 when it's released on November 8th, 2011.
