If you're poised to pick up a copy of Codemaster's military simulator, Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising then ASDA is offering a decent deal for a limited time only

On launch day, October 9. 2009, the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be available at half the recommended retail price, slashed from to £49.99 to £24.97. The move mirrors last week's price cut by rival Tesco, who sold FIFA 10 at just £24.97.

Speaking to MCV, ASDA said:

“It is free market forces at work and it is a matter for retailers to make decisions which they consider to be beneficial to their business.”

With prices like this, who needs to shop at videogame stores anymore?
