April 3rd is the day to pencil in your diaries
Activision has confirmed that in addition to a re-release of Call of Duty 4, in the form of a 'Game of the year' edition, they'll also be a new map pack available to download for the Xbox 360 and PS3 next month.The Call of Duty 4: Game of the Year Edition, will include the original game, as well as a token allowing Xbox Live users to download the forthcoming map pack.
The Variety Map Pack includes four new multiplayer maps. "Creek" is a wide-open village ravaged by combat where concealment is the difference between life and death. In "Broadcast," fight throughout an enemy communications building with confined corridors and wide-open parking lots. "Chinatown" is a foggy downtown district, lit only by a full moon and the neon glow of the city. "Killhouse" features a desolate training warehouse filled with a variety of building mock-ups and soft and hard cover points.
If you've already got the game, it will cost you 800 Microsoft points. The map pack will be available on April 3 and the Game of the Year edition is set for April 1st.
