No downloads or anything

Ubisoft has confirmed that a new web-based game based in the Heroes of Might and Magic universe will receive a global launch in 2008.

Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms won't be available in shops and they'll be no downloads or installations, all we'll need is an internet connection. The game will allow thousands of gamers to lead armies, rule their virtual kingdom and create legendary heroes.

“This is a new type of game for Ubisoft, one that allows you to jump into a rich and complex universe just with your Web browser,” said Serge Hascoët, Chief Creative Officer. “Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms will open a wide door to the Might and Magic universe, allowing players to immerse themselves within it unlike ever before.”

A key for the beta test is available is the reward for purchasing the Heroes of Might and Magic Complete Edition. But, if you register on the official website you may still be in with a chance.

A browser game? No downloads or install? Is it multiplayer only? The FAQ says your turns are queued and completed minutes/hours later.
I loved HOMM1 and 2 but a turn-based browser game sounds very crappy.
it might be coded in java or flash to make it more like a real game i think.
