Set in a parallel universe

The award wining game engine CryEngine 2, used to power the critically acclaimed first person shooter Crysis, is set to be used in an upcoming third-person massively multiplayer online action game from Korean online game company, Reloaded. 'The Day' is the first project from the studio and the company has recently issued a plea to experienced developers from across the world to join them on the ambitious project. The Day set to be rolled out globally in 2010

"We're designing The Day from scratch as a product for the world market and we are seeking a variety of international influences as a result," said Kiyong Cho, chief executive officer, Reloaded Studios, and former vice president and co-founder of Webzen, Inc. "Reloaded Studios has an exciting work atmosphere with extremely talented professionals. For The Day, we want to work with the best developers from around the world, not just in a given geographic area."

The game will have a heavy emphasis on player-versus-player (PvP) combat and a unique, immersive story. Set in the near future, The Day finds mankind discovering a way to travel between two connected parallel worlds. Players will face a changing world never before seen in an online game as they travel back and forth between the past and present, accomplishing critical missions that extremely influence and affect their present-day world. With the fate of mankind at stake, players are thrown into brutal warfare and a fight to keep humanity from slipping into self-destruction across time.

Reloaded was founded by industry veterans from Webzen, NCsoft, Phantagram and Capcom's StreetFighter comics with the express goal of creating innovative and exciting online action games for release in multiple markets around the world.
