Football Manager 2005 prepares you for the Premiership?

According to The Sun newspaper, a cheeky Football Manager 2005 player applied for the manager’s job of Premiership team Middlesbrough, citing his success at Football Manager 2005 as a sign of his abilities!

Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson was looking for a replacement for new England boss Steve McClaren when he saw the letter from John Boileau.

The post-graduate student, 25, told how the skills he had honed on Football Manager 2005 made him the ideal choice.

John, of Rugby, Warwickshire, BOASTED how he signed Thierry Henry, Raul and Fernando Torres as boss of a fictional Doncaster team.

And he BRAGGED about taking Rushden and Diamonds to the Champions League Final, adding: “Unfortunately we lost to Ajax in extra time.”
Check out the article in The Sun Online for Gibson’s response…

A slice of Friday afternoon fried gold!

I'm off now to apply to Ferrari 'cos I'm really, really good at Geoff Crammond's Formula 1 Grand Prix, see you in the pit lane!

LMAO :)

I see Manchester are after some civil planners - well I've got over 7 years sim-city experience so it's worth a shot I suppose.
The NHS could be better and with my Theme Hospital experiance I think I'm the man for the job. A few cases of Bloaty Head or 3rd Degree sideburns don't bother me. :p
