Girlz of destruction rocked the house
The Girlz of Destruction are not only a sexy, sassy bunch of ladies, but a hardcore professional group of female gamers with a huge appetite for success in the gaming arena.
We hooked up with four of the clans Quake IV members, Ms.X, Trito and Missy and Liefje, to find out what has brought them to CeBIT, and what makes them tick.
Girlz of Destruction are one of the premier girls teams in the World, and had made the long journey to CeBIT to take on members of the public in a Quake IV shootout. The girlz 0f destruction are a 7-member, international all-girls PC gaming team hailing from seven different countries and are widely regarded as the highest level professional female Quake 4 players.It's doubtful there will be many successful challengers, due to their fantastic record in competitions world-wide, by the time we had left the arena, the girls were still unbeaten.
Team leader Missy is used to performing under pressure and came first in MsQuakecon in 2005, taking home $15,000. In fact four of the girls finished in the top 10. It's no wonder that the girls have secured a sponsorship deal with VIA/S3 graphics.
Click for larger imageThe skill of the team doesn't stop there. At the VIA ESReality Invitational shootout in London in January, Trito, a member from Sweden, won all of her 26 games on Quake !V.
The girls are constantly rushing around attending gaming events and competitions world-wide, and wowed onlookers back at E3 last year with an incredible record of results of over 500 wins and only 2 losses on Quake IV. There next event will be at E3 this May where they hope to continue with their almost perfect record.
