Conclusion

In the brief time I have had the M500 I have realised that maybe, with one of these in my skyrocket my life would actually resemble something a little less manic. On the other hand, I would have no excuse for missing a meeting or saying I didn’t get the deadlines through on email last week, it’s just that efficient, I would have nowhere to hide and personally I started to think the M500 could ruin my organised chaos of a life.

You have to want the M500 for its productivity, not for the look of it, it’s a functional device that does very well for the business user, not so for ‘joe public’. If you want someone else to organise your life for you I would heartily recommend this for the sheer capability and performance. On the other hand I personally would prefer a phone and a PDA, but I’m just greedy like that.

Pros...

Comprehensive features, well executed.
Good quality screen.

Cons...

No supplied SD card.
Expensive direct, better deals can be had from resellers.

where2buy

Scancom.co.uk is currently offering the M500 handset on Orange and on other networks in the various incarnations.

PDA and seperate phone all the way, it seems alright although i wouldn't like everything in one box.
I have an M2000 which I don't use anymore.

The Blackberry is the first device which has made me real happy recently - since it just works.
Ah Windows mobile-based PDA, the M500 has just been released on Orange. But for email you can't beat the ease of use the Blackberry offers with the key layout it's just not available from Orange only simfree and un-subsidized. Depends on what you use it for I guess. If you need to run office applications such as excel, outlook and pocket Internet explorer this could be just the ticket.
Orange do offer blackberry services through a Nokia 6880 and the Siemens SK65….

Indeed, I was referring to the handset itself not the service.
