Microsoft is widely expected to introduce its next-generation Windows Mobile platform at a Mobile World Congress press conference beginning at 2pm BST today, but it looks as though the cameras have already captured a glimpse of the eagerly-anticipated software.
In what looks to be last-minute preparations, a show worker has seemingly lifted a banner long enough for somebody to take pictures and upload them to Facebook.
The images, of what appear to be an unbranded device, provide what could be a first look at the home screen featured on Windows Mobile 7.
In keeping with recent rumours, the home screen is very much touch-orientated and features a Zune-like interface that offers direct integration with Microsoft's Xbox Live gaming platform.
There isn't a whole lot else to go on, but it now seems a certainty that Microsoft will be officially announcing Windows Mobile 7 in just a matter of hours.
