PRESS RELEASE
LONDON, MONDAY JUNE 20, 2016 – Today, after much anticipation amongst digital natives, the Honor 5C handset has been released across Europe, reveals Honor – the world’s leading smartphone e-brand.
Unveiled via a live stream, the new Honor 5C brings state-of-the-art smartphone essentials to its young and courageous audience, including a powerful chipset to guarantee an exciting gaming experience. Adding to this, a quick processor ensures users are always one step ahead of their opponents, and with the chipset’s superior power management, you’ll enjoy a full day’s battery run-time.
The handset’s impressive 8MP front-facing camera allows you to share your winning selfies across the world. Equipped with the above features, and more, the Honor 5C is available in three colours – gold, silver and grey – at a competitive and affordable price of £149.99.
From June 20 onwards, the Honor 5C will be available to purchase at Honor’s very own online store vMall.eu, as well as through Amazon, Ebuyer, Clove and Expansys.
Alternatively from August you can buy it either on contract or on Pay As You Go (PAYG) from Three.
Akin Li, Managing Director of Honor Western Europe commented, “We are incredibly proud to introduce a smartphone to the European audience that equips consumers with the absolute essentials they need for their always-on lifestyles.”
Aircraft-grade aluminum-alloy body
The new Honor 5C handset comes with a diamond-polished, aircraft-grade aluminum-alloy body which is topped by a scratch-resistant anodized coating for lasting protection against corrosion and wear and tear. Ridged edges provide good grip and complement the brushed metal finish.
Two flagship-grade antennas are housed in the 5C. The dual antennas system automatically switches to the antenna with the best signal to prevent dropped calls. No matter where you are, or what you are exploring, the 5C will stand unwaveringly by your side.
Cutting-edge camera technology
Within the body, a 13 MP rear camera is on hand to capture the world around you. It even comes with a wide-angle macro lens for clarity in those artist close up shots. Honor created an anti-reflective lens with coating to reduce glare and prevents fingerprints from causing blurs, as well as stopping unwanted light from reaching the sensor. So wherever you are, what hurdles you overcome, the pictures you take will capture your journey.
The quality of this device guarantees a supporting smartphone, which can keep up with your spontaneous explorations. Geared at a young and dynamic audience, the 5C is built according to new quality assurance standards. A drop test from 1.5 m was made to ensure the screen and interior components can withstand significant impact. The phone was also subjected to 600 cycles of rapid temperature changes from –40°C to +70°C.
