PRESS RELEASE

Wacom, the world leader in pen-based creative tablets, introduces its next generation Intuos® product family to empower and inspire creative enthusiasts

Berlin, 4 September 2015 (IFA Show) – Wacom today launched the next generation of its award-winning Intuos® product family. The new range of Intuos Pen & Touch tablets consist of four models: Intuos Art, Intuos Comic, Intuos Photo and Intuos Draw (pen only). Each model includes free creative software as well as additional training and offers. The pen tablets come in two different sizes (small and medium), a choice of colours (white, blue and black) and a pen or ‘pen & touch’ version – with a wireless connection kit as an optional accessory.

“We spent a lot of time working with our customers and have redesigned the popular Intuos line to better address the needs of key user segments. The new Intuos includes everything one needs to capture the imagination of creative enthusiasts and inspire them to take their creativity to a new level,” Jeff Mandell, Executive Vice President at Wacom explains.

Containing many of the original Intuos’ features, the new range offers 1,024 pen pressure-sensitivity levels for precision when adding details to drawings and photos, multi-touch capability that allows users to zoom and rotate their work at the flick of a finger and four customisable ExpressKeys. The tablet’s ergonomic design ensures that photographers and artists can comfortably work for long periods of time.

Offering a realistic painting experience, users can explore the wide variety of painting styles and brushes available on the pen tablet’s free accompanying software package - Corel Painter Essentials. Available in small (black and blue) and medium (black and blue).

Intuos Photo – for photo editors who want to try new creative techniques or add text to an image to make it more personal.

Whether removing clutter, improving colour and tone or even compositing images, the pressure sensitive pen offers a new level of accuracy and control.
