London, 31 March 2005. Orange, the UK’s most popular mobile network, will today demonstrate its commitment to music by launching Find music, helping people find and enjoy the music they want, whether they are in a muddy field at Glastonbury or on the top deck of a bus in Glasgow.

A new sponsorship line up will make it possible to book gig tickets through Orange handsets, bring exclusive artist material and downloads to Orange phones, provide music and DJ training for children and the Orange festival experience once again at Glastonbury and T in the Park.

“Enjoying music on your mobile handset is the going to explode in 2005. Therefore it is no surprise that Orange is committed to providing customers with the richest and most rewarding music experience possible. With Find music we are working with the best in both the music and mobile industry to help people buy, receive, listen and even interact with music in much more spontaneous and exciting ways.” said Julian Diment, head of brand and commercial partnerships, Orange UK.

In 2004 Orange was the first UK network to provide its customers with full-length Music Player downloads on selected handsets. Following their popularity, singles downloaded to Orange phones will be the first to be included in the Official UK Download Chart from April 2005.

A range of Great for Music handsets announced today will make it easy for more customers to find the music they want. The 2G and 3G Great for Music handsets are the Nokia 3230, Nokia 6680 (pre-loaded with Fireplayer, Music Player) and the SonyEricsson K300i. All utilise the full range of music services available from Orange World. Products and services available on Orange World make it easy to download your favourite tracks, remix music - saving your own tracks as customised ringtones, catch up on news and gossip, follow the hit40uk chart and buy videos, True Tones, wallpapers and tickets.

Orange will launch the Find music line up this evening at KOKO, Camden with an exclusive performance by cult band Athlete. For further information and tickets to attend the event, please call Bianca Lee-Chang on 020 7307 3100.
