Egham, UK – 13th December 2010 – Jabra, a world leader in innovative headset solutions, has launched its next generation Jabra WAVE, a Bluetooth® headset using the popular behind-the-ear wearing style. The Jabra WAVE offers greater comfort with a slim, sleek design and new features that ensure a quality hands-free calling experience, including wind noise reduction, voice guidance, and Multiuse™ technology.

The Jabra WAVE is slimmer and easier to use than its predecessors, with an ergonomic design that is ideal for all-day use. It’s flexible shape molds to the ear and distributes the headset’s weight evenly for a secure and discreet fit. New battery technology has allowed for a slimmer, lighter headset and ultra-soft materials ensure a comfortable feel at all times.

A new microphone concept combined with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) ensures crystal clear audio, even while walking or battling outdoor elements. The Jabra WAVE’s boom tip features a microphone that is designed for better immunity to wind noise and turbulence, while automatic volume adjustment and acoustic shock protection prevent unexpected high pitched tones and other noises that may occur in telephone networks. Every conversation is always at a comfortable, safe volume level. The easy-to-locate answer/end button on the microphone boom also helps to create a simple, intuitive user experience.

Voice guidance takes the guesswork out of operating the headset by notifying users of crucial status updates, such as connectivity and low battery.  StatusDisplayTM LED indicators also display multi-coloured lights that correspond to the headset’s battery level and Bluetooth connection status so users can gauge their status with just one glance.

The Jabra WAVE can be connected to up to two devices at the same time via Multiuse™ technology, allowing users to transition seamlessly between multiple phones, or even internet calls if connected to a Bluetooth-enabled PC.

The Jabra WAVE comes with a large Jabra Comfort EargelTM, a Jabra Wind Sock for extra wind noise reduction, quick start manual and an AC charger. It is available to buy in the UK, at a suggested retail price of £59.99.

Other specifications of the Jabra WAVE include:

  • Dedicated on/off slider
