PRESS RELEASE

Swann’s all-new full HD smart security camera, launching at CES 2017, provides homes and businesses with an attractive, affordable, hassle-free monitoring solution

Las Vegas – 04 January 2017 – Swann, a global leader in security monitoring solutions, today reveals at CES (LVCC, Central Hall, Booth #14810) the ultimate, completely wireless, smart security camera. The full HD Swann Smart Security Camera (item code: SWWHD-INTCAM) has a built-in rechargeable battery and 8GB storage for subscription and wire-free monitoring.

HD surveillance, anywhere and anytime

The discreet camera features 1080p full HD resolution, wide 120o viewing angle, infrared night vision and the ability to capture crystal clear footage indoors and out, during the day and at night. The use of thermal heat-based PIR motion detection also guarantees fewer false triggers, with only relevant and important footage triggering push notifications to Smartphones, and recording of video to the camera’s memory.

A large 8GB of internal storage allows video and audio recordings to be stored on the cameras themselves rather than on external cloud storage. Each camera has the capacity to record 3,000 20-second video clips, which will last on average for 12 months without the need to clear any space (depending on the amount of activity).

Effortless installation and operation

Being truly wireless, users can simply connect the smart security camera to their home or business Wi-Fi network and either sit the camera on a flat surface or attach it to a wall. Each unit has a built-in rechargeable battery that can power the camera for 3 months and is simply recharged by connecting the included micro USB cable to a regular Smartphone or tablet charging plug. It’s a hassle free set-up with zero wires, not even a power cable.

The brand new, totally re-designed SAFE by Swann app (for iOS and Android) allows users to control the camera in their home, view live footage and playback recorded footage from anywhere in the world via Smartphone. The new app will send push notifications and email alerts when activity is detected at any time of day, and footage can be saved directly to the Smartphone or tablet and then shared over email. The app will also enable the Swann Smart Security Cameras to connect to other future SAFE by Swann products, to add new functionality and enhance the smart home experience.

The Swann Smart Security Camera will be sold as a single unit and in multi-camera options with all the cameras controllable and viewable on the same app.

Subscription free

With all recordings stored on the camera and accessed using the free SAFE by Swann app, in contrast to several other products on the market, there are no subscription or membership fees involved, no cloud subscription costs and footage can be recorded and accessed completely free of charge, forever.
