July 2nd 2013 - Acer today unveiled P5 and P1 projectors series which offer great versatility designed to meet several usage scenarios. The Acer P5 projectors are professional-class projectors delivering premium color performance even in large venues with bright ambient light, while the Acer P1 projector family offers a wide range of features to handle a variety of usage needs. These projectors are ideal for SMB or SOHO.
Acer P5 series
Featuring XGA/WXGA resolution, the P5 projectors are the ideal large-venue projectors to present widescreen video and heavily detailed presentations. Thanks to advanced lamp technology delivering up to 4000 ANSI Lumens brightness, the P5 series enables the projection of sharp and vibrant images on a large screen, even from a long distance. True 24p support is the key to appreciate a true HD resolution image in 24 frames per second for film-like visuals. The P5 projectors can count on a 10000:1 dynamic contrast ratio enhanced by DynamicBlackTM technology, which dramatically improves image contrast. This means they can display images with a new level of brightness, color and clarity for exceptional readability. What's more, they offer up to 40° vertical keystone correction, particularly useful in small environments. These projectors also deliver stunning 3D experiences via DLP® 3D Ready and HDMI 3D that enables high (120 Hz) refresh rates to render a flicker-free 3D experience.
The new Acer P5 projector series ensures enhanced usability. The Acer Empowering Key provides instant access to a suite of tools designed to simplify access to setup, viewing and timer utilities, while multi-PC connection, including two D-Sub and two HDMI® x 2, allows flexible connectivity and instant switching. With the P5 series user can instantly enjoy movies, videos, music or pictures without turning the PC on thanks to USB Disk Plug-n-Play. By means of built-in Office and PDF Document Reader support, the P5307WB/P5207B can project Office or PDF files via integrated USB reader without having to turn the PC on. Depending on the configuration, the P5 series can also enable wireless projection, allowing to project contents through Acer eDisplay and MiracastTM projection from all certified mobile devices - smartphones, tablets, notebooks.
What's more, the Acer P5 series features a brand new user interface with large and intuitive icons for easier and faster control as well as Support Folders for all media types. For easy home digital multimedia sharing the series supports DLNA as well, permitting wireless sharing of music/video/photo from all enabled devices.
Acer P5207B, P5307WB series projectors are totally compliant with the Crestron Network System. The Crestron Network System offers complete control of the projector via LAN and Wireless plus several powerful capabilities, including monitoring, remote power on/off , remote projection management, multiple-projector control, emergency text broadcasting, online dialogue with the system administrator and e-mail alert system, etc.
Acer P1 series
The four new models of the P1 series provide excellent brightness (up to 3,500 ANSI Lumens) and a contrast ratio of up to 17000:1, ensuring exceptionally vibrant images and high impact projection performance. The native XGA or WXGA resolution renders ultra-sharp images and great looking presentations, as well as permitting the reproduction of high definition content. With full HD resolution, the P1500 displays crisp details, where even the finest print is clearly visible. Thanks to DynamicBlackTM technology these projectors deliver a vastly improved contrast, resulting in the most vivid image quality.
Thanks to a variety of video inputs, these projectors offer remarkable versatility and flexibility. The HDMI® port delivers uncompressed digital signals and multi-channel audio, providing easy connectivity to the latest digital devices enabling high-definition presentations and entertainment. The P1 projectors are also equipped with D-Sub, S-Video, and Composite connectors, allowing greater flexibility and instant switching.
3D Blu-rayTM movies projection or 3D gaming is enabled by HDMI 3D ready technology, allowing a great cinematic experience or immersive 3D games when you pair any of these projectors with a PC or a device that supports 120 Hz output.
The P1 series supports a ± 40 degrees of auto-keystone correction. This means that any vertical distortion can be automatically corrected to make the projected image perfectly rectangular, no matter where the projector is placed. Another useful feature is the auto ceiling-mount correction, enabling the projector to instantly rotate the projected image by 180º to ensure the correct orientation when it's ceiling-mounted.
Brilliant images reproduction
All Acer projectors display lively images with vibrant colours. This is the result of Acer's unique image enhancement technology. Acer ColorBoost, Acer SpectraBoot and Acer ColorSafe II are designed to improve image quality, making colours richer and more lifelike while preserving their fidelity over time.
Eco-friendly features
Acer's projectors come with built-in eco-friendly features designed to reduce standby power consumption (compliant with 0.5W standby). With the world leading Acer ExtremeEco technology, the power consumption of the projector can be reduced up to 70% and the lamp life can be extended up to 10.000 hours in ExtremeEco mode. Plus, Acer ePower Management provides quick configuration of power management options, including controls for ECO Power On/Off, High Altitude mode and Auto Shutdown.
