New Sony 4K TV goes one step further and offers Ultra HD
(June 20th 2013) Currys & PC World, the UK's leading electrical retailers, today announced the launch of the new Sony 4K TV online now (at www.pcworld.co.uk and www.currys.co.uk); and in store from tomorrow (Thursday 20th June). Featuring ultra HD - which is four-times the detail of Full HD - viewers will feel as though they are looking through a window at the real world rather than looking at a screen.
Complete with Motionflow, which reduces the blur and judder of each image, and a Triluminos display, which boosts colour and provides a broader colour palette, the picture produced is of a truer and deeper quality, and each image is significantly enhanced and enlivened. Coupled with NASA space technology which programmes the TV's Magnetic Fluid speakers, the Sony 4K provides a crystal clear image alongside the purest audio.
The new Sony 4K TV also comes equipped with the Sony Entertainment Network from which viewers can stream films fresh from cinema screens, catch up on TV shows they've missed via BBC iPlayer and 5 On Demand, and stream other content through Netflix and LoveFilm.
Thanks to Near Field Communications, viewers will also be able to transfer media, including pictures and video, from their smartphone to their TV via Bluetooth connection.
Retailing from £3,999 for the 55" TV and £5,999 for the 65" the new Sony 4K TV is available online now, and in store from tomorrow.
