CREATIVE'S DAP JUKEBOX STRIKES THE RIGHT
CORD

Cord Bar's Jukebox is used to launch album of New Signings from Badly Drawn

Boy's Record label

Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF) the world-wide leader in digital entertainment

products for the personal computer and the Internet, has announced the use

of their award winning DAP Jukebox within Manchester's newly opened Cord

Bar. Located in the heart of the city's music scene, the venue bar provides

a modern twist to the traditional pub, and is nestled amongst celebrated

record companies such as Paper Recordings, Factory Records, Fat City, Grand

Central, Pleasure Recordings and Twisted Nerve.

The DAP Jukebox, which is the size of a portable CD player can be found

secured on the bar and within easy reach, allowing the public to choose any

track they desire, out of a selection of up to 150 albums worth of high

quality music. It has simple controls, a large memory for a broad range of

music tastes and a play list control, enabling punters to simply add/queue a

song whenever they want. Weighing only 400 grams, the Jukebox is encased
in

silver and blue and is at the forefront of stylish digital audio players,

earning a place in the London Design Museum when it was first launched.

One of the first events held at Cord Bar was the album launch of the

exciting new band Alfie, signed to Mercury Music Prize winning Badly Drawn

Boy's record label Twisted Nerve. They exclusively demo-ed the new album on

the Creative Labs DAP Jukebox. Following the success of the launch Simon

Cooper, Cord Bar's founder, hopes other artists will follow suit, using

Creative's groundbreaking technology in the comfort of Cord Bar unique

surroundings.

"Our bar is in a prime position to host these events, and the unique

capabilities of Creative's Jukebox is of interest to our music industry

regulars and general customers alike." Cooper continues, "I'm
delighted

Cord Bar is one of the first to offer music from a digital audio player,

although I have no doubt that other venues will be quick to copy us."

Duncan Jackson, regional director, Creative Labs Europe, "The DAP Jukebox
is

the only digital audio player on the market with such amazing flexibility,

enabling use in a bar, in your car and in fact, everywhere you might wish to

take & play your music collection."
