MILFORD, PA - Altec Lansing, a division of Plantronics, Inc., today announced that its T612™ digital audio system has passed “Works with iPhone” iPhone 3G test requirements for use with Apple’s latest generation iPhone™. The T612 delivers rich, immersive sound for music and multimedia, while also supporting key iPhone 3G call features.
“Altec Lansing has a unique legacy of designing products that meet up-to-the-minute technology trends and consumer desires,” said Bernice Cramer, Sr. VP Marketing and Product Development for Altec Lansing. “Just six months after introducing Altec Lansing’s first ‘Works with iPhone’ speaker dock for the original iPhone, we’re proud to now offer iPhone 3G compatibility.”
Altec Lansing’s T612 received the “Works with iPhone” certification for the original iPhone in January 2008 and has received high marks among iPhone consumers, including a 4.5 out of 5 star ranking at http://store.apple.com/us and a 4 out of 5 star ranking at www.amazon.com.
High Quality Sound
The T612 features clear, full-spectrum sound delivered by four specially engineered neodymium speakers. Proprietary XdB™ bass-enhancement technology offers exceptionally rich audio reproduction and solid bass, even without a sub-woofer.
iPhone Call Support
Music pauses and resumes play before and after taking a call without switching the device to airplane mode. The T612 is fully immune to GSM and Wi-Fi signals – preventing the speakers from picking up potential intermittent noises emitted by the iPhone 3G, original iPhone or other mobile devices.

Connections and Controls
The T612 sports Apple’s Universal Dock to play and charge all iPhone and new-generation iPod models. In addition, the rear of the T612 provides a standard auxiliary-in jack for connection to older iPod models as well as other audio devices.

The T612 comes equipped with a wireless remote for iPod song navigation functionality, featuring Power, Volume Down, Volume Up, Track Back, Track Forward, Play/Pause, and separate Bass, and Treble controls with visual display.

The Altec Lansing T612 system is currently sold at Apple retailers and www.alteclansing.com for €199.95 (MSRP). For more information visit: http://www.alteclansing.com.
