London, England - 16 April 2008 - Hauppauge Digital, the world leader in PC TV products, has added a USB2 satellite tuner to its range. The WinTV Nova-S USB2 allows owners to enjoy free-to-air satellite TV, including Freesat, in a window or full screen, and can also be linked to a card reader to give access to subscription channels.

Available immediately, with an RRP of Ā£79.99 inc VAT, the Nova-S USB2 is the perfect add-on for PCs in households that already have a satellite dish installed. The tuner supply plugs into a spare USB2 socket and connects to the satellite socket to give digital TV and radio on a bedroom or study PC.

Freesat is a joint venture between the BBC and ITV and will be launched before the summer, offering over 80 free-to-air digital TV and radio channels. More channels will be added in the autumn, providing a comprehensive, free service. Broadcasts will be from the Astra 2D satellite - the same satellite Sky uses, meaning no dish realignment is necessary. More information from http://www.freesat.co.uk

With the Nova-S USB2 installed in a PC, owners will be able to watch, pause and record live TV for later viewing. PC owners with DVD Rewriteables are also able to create DVDs with up to 2.5 hours of DVD quality footage.

The package includes the Nova-S USB2, USB cable, Hauppauge's ergonomic remote control, the WinTV viewing and EPG software and WinTV Scheduler to schedule TV recordings once, daily or weekly.
