Another bash from Google?

Despite security concerns, internet users' insatiable appetite for social networking sites shows no signs of abating with rumours that Google seeks to topple Facebook's crown with its own proposition.

Speculative reports of a new network called ‘Google Me' are rife, with ex Facebook CTO, Adam D'Angelo entering the debate via Q&A service, Quora.

He says Google Me is ‘not a rumour' and the search giant is building a full social network based on Facebook, to be launched as soon as possible.

"They [Google] had assumed that Facebook's growth would slow as it grew, and that Facebook wouldn't be able to have too much leverage over them, but then it just didn't stop, and now they are really scared," he added.

However, no matter how wonderful the rumoured proposition might be, Google certainly have some catching up to do before they total 500m users, like Facebook.

Any breakdown of which sites do what? :)
yes, i want to know if facebook tracks the actual mobile device?
If they release a social network like Facebook when it launched I'll be happy

I'm sick of all the guff they have added with the extras and the fact that they can have full access to details with minimal permission and vetting
twitter tracks your actual mobile device as you can turn it on or off
