Google may generally be able to find everything but your car keys, but the world's most popular search engine continues to evolve and has this week been expanded with a number of Search Options designed to let users explore their results in greater detail.

Using the all-new Search Options, users are now able to filter results by categories such as videos, forums and reviews, potentially making it easier to find reviews of a certain item, says Google.

Pushing the boat out a little further, the search giant has also introduced a couple of interactive features dubbed Wonder Wheel and Timeline. With Wonder Wheel, users are presented with a spider diagram that offers a number of related search items that, when clicked, displays real-time results.

Similarly, Timeline displays results in chronological order and makes it easier for users to find results from a specific period. All useful in theory, we reckon, but the Search Options aren't immediately obvious and we wonder how many users will actually take the time to explore them.

Google has pledged to add to its Search Options with "more innovative and useful features in the future", and those struggling to see how the tools could be useful can see them in action in the following video tour:

I wonder if the review filter takes out all the price comparison sites with “0 user reviews”…
