Even in the context of enthusiast components, the chassis industry is especially prone to superlatives when describing its new products and Antec is no exception. A new case called "Nine Hundred Two" is due to arrive in the UK, via distributor VIP, and Antec has decided it's "the ultimate gaming case".

It's certainly not the ultimate gaming case name, however. This is not simply the "902", it's the nine hundred, mark II, hence the name having to be written out in full.

Among the improvements on the original are a top 200mm ‘Big Boy' TriCool fan with blue LED, fan control knobs, built-in washable air filters and 8 expansion slots.

VIP expects to have stock of the nine hundred two by the week beginning 26th January. Victoria Davies, Antec Product Manager at VIP, said: "The additions to this new case show Antec are listening to their customers and taking action, which is one of the reasons VIP are proud to work with Antec in the UK."

Here's a link to the Antec nine hundred two web page and a piccie.

Not sure what to make of this, it seems they have made improvements,
Pros: Black Chassis, Dust Filters, Better cable management, wider holes at front for less impedance on airflow/dust gathering.
Cons: Big LED fan looks too flashy and I hate the way they've completley wrecked the lines of the case having it rise out of the top like that, I have a 900 Mk.1 and yes the case has many faults but at least the top has an OK profile.

Tbh I am going to mod my 900 this summer anyway so may fit some of the improvements myself, and still have the better looking case of the two!
so they just took 3 drive bays out of the antec 1200. I'm sure that required a lot of creative development by antec.
is it worth it considering the 1200 is bigger and better designed… I'd spend the extra money…
Antec 900.2 is just a cust down 1200 really so its not really better designed just more room, and 1 extra fan at the back, I'm still not convinced that fan helps much with the big fan so close.

It all depends how much its going to cost, 1200 goes for £133.
I have had a 900 for the last year. I also have two 300s and a 1200 First thing I did with the 900 was to ditch the fans with their crazy fan speed swithches which meant you have to open the case to change speeds. I had yards of correspondence with Antec so am glad if they have changed that. Their fitted fans are not the quietest but the rest of the design of their cases is pretty good.
