VIA records fourth consecutive monthly increase as sales revenue tops US$ 72 million in October

Taipei, Taiwan, 1st November 2002 - VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today announced net sales for October 2002 of NT$ 2.53 billion (US$ 72.78 million approximately).

On a sequential basis, this monthly sales revenue represents a 19.90% increase over September’s figure of NT$ 2.11 billion (US$ 60.70 million approximately).

“October saw another month of positive sales momentum driven by a combination of seasonal factors and continued growing demand for our innovative new platforms targeted at emerging market segments,” said Richard Brown, Director of Marketing at VIA Technologies, Inc.
