Press release

Enfield, London, 20th February 2009, Interactive Ideas, one of the UK's leading value-added Software and Technology distributors has announced that it has been appointed as a UK distributor for the new line of Mediaroots software video training DVDs, the range being made available with immediate effect.

The new range of video tutorial DVDs from Mediaroots sees software such as Adobe Photoshop broken down into logical chapters, starting with the very basics and working up in difficulty to the more advanced topics. Mediaroots' new training line is unique in that one DVD will cover both versions CS4 and CS3, thus targeting a wider audience than focusing exclusively on one version and presenting resellers with a great method of encouraging customers to upgrade.

"The DVDs are uniquely formulated to teach skills desired in the workplace. Thus, the training is great for people who may be finding it difficult to get jobs given the current economic climate" said Jack Smith, Managing Director, Mediaroots. "All training DVDs teach not only the individual tools and techniques of an application, but also how to apply these to real life potential projects, such as designing a magazine cover or building a website."

Mediaroots' expert presenters are sourced exclusively from the British creative industry. As a result, all presenters have UK English accents and are specialists in their selected field with real industry experience; presenters' previous clients include the BBC, Kellogg's, MTV and Nintendo.

In an increasingly competitive industry, creatives can no longer specialise in one program, but are required to be multi-faceted and capable of working in a variety of programs. Mediaroots also offer training DVDs for the majority of applications in the Creative Suite such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere Pro, as well as non-Adobe products such as Autodesk 3ds Max, QuarkXPress, Final Cut Pro and Poser.

Michael Breeze, Marketing Director at Interactive Ideas, commented, "We are delighted to have secured this distribution contract with Mediaroots. With the increasing uncertainty in employment, people need to ensure that they are able to diversify and offer a comprehensive skill-set to prospective employees.  The Mediaroots' training DVDs are intuitive and a cost effective way for users to learn and develop their IT skills"
