Distributor Target introduces two new micro-sites aimed specifically at helping retailers identify margin-makers and gain market share against high street multiples.
‘Beat The High Street' highlights products specially selected by Target's procurement team where customers can make a healthy margin and still beat the equivalent high-street price.
There is a general feeling that independents can't compete with the big chains on product price. Whilst this can be the case on some products - multiples often run loss-leaders to attract business - there are lots of opportunities for indies to offer products at a very attractive price and still make strong profits.
Beat the High Street is designed to highlight a different selection of such margin makers each week.
Target's MD Paul Cubbage explains "We group together products into one place that generate significant margin and still smash high street pricing. It makes it easier for our customers to identify key opportunities and to gain the real benefit of the market expertise and purchasing power our procurement team have developed over our ten years in the channel."
Target also recently introduced a new mini-site aimed at helping resellers increase sales of laptop components, accessories, and notebooks. The Laptop Store brings together Target's range of laptops along with an expanded range of components and accessories into one easy to navigate site, and is aimed at increasing reseller awareness of opportunities for laptop sales, upgrades and repairs. The site reflects the increasing importance of laptop sales generally and new opportunities for laptop sales, self-builds, and repairs and upgrades as warranties expire on older laptops.
Both sites are designed with simplicity in mind to help Target customers quickly identify key opportunities.
