Memory Analysis

We're using our standard Core i7-8700K platform for testing, overclocked to an all-core 4.8GHz to better reflect an enthusiast's system. As a comparison, and to see any differences from running faster memory, we've also benchmarked a 32GB kit (4x8GB) of Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4-2,400 memory alongside this kit. We're evaluating performance in Cinebench, HandBrake, 3DMark Time Spy, and Far Cry 5.

Memory analysis is always going to favour higher-speed RAM. We're looking at close to a 40 per cent bandwidth uplift and almost 20 per cent less latency. Sold on these performance virtues alone, faster RAM would definitely be worth it.
