Noise and Conclusion
Noise
The biggest selling point of the Hiper, bar cost, is its low noise profile. While it's a bit noisy on startup and under heavy sustained load, under general use it's as silent as they come. I'd estimate it's no more than 19dBA from three feet away, at ear height, easily less at distance and away from head height. Conclusion
With a price of Ā£20 inc VAT in the U.K. from a number of retailers, combined with respectable, if not earth-shattering, performance, the Hiper isn't a bad PSU by any means. The cheap is bad mantra in the budget PSU space doesn't apply here. It's a quiet supply that should serve you well if 320W sustained and limited connectivity options are all you're looking for.
