Notes
This is very much a high-end comparison that takes in the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX and the Core i9-7980XE on the X399 and X299 platforms, respectively. Offering some basis of intra-family comparison, the aforementioned Asus ROG Zenith Extreme has also been benchmarked using exactly the same components.
