Benchmarks: Display Brightness
As expected, black levels and contrast are no match for the OLED, yet as far as IPS screens are concerned, the 17.3in panel is wonderfully bright while maintaining good levels of contrast. Brightness is sufficient to make a reasonable fist of HDR content, yet it is ultimately the extra size that makes the Aero 17 so enjoyable to use; the shift from 15.6in to 17.3in may not sound like much, but you do feel the difference when you're working on a spreadsheet or watching a movie.
