Final thoughts and rating
ASUS's DirectCU II TOP is the latest in a long line of attractive GeForce GTX 560 Ti graphics cards.
Custom cooled and factory overclocked right out of the box, it's an improvement on NVIDIA's reference design in almost every aspect. Performance is up, temperatures and noise levels are down, and there's enough overclocking headroom to keep enthusiasts entertained.
Gaming with ultra-high quality settings at 2,560x1,600 might be too much for it to handle, but it's an excellent 1080p performer that's backed up by ASUS's top-notch build quality.
Choosing between a GeForce GTX 560 Ti and a Radeon HD 6950 remains a tough decision, but if your heart is set on NVIDIA-specific features such as PhysX and 3D Vision, ASUS's GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II TOP is well worthy of consideration.
The Good
Clocked at 900MHz out the box
Ideal for high-quality 1080p gaming
Excellent cooler
Looks the business
The Bad
Priced the wrong side of Ā£200
Faces stern competition from Radeon HD 6950
