Appearance

At only 545g, the Ruby Orb shaves over 33 per cent off the weight of the Blue Orb II. This reduction is due, of course, to the all-aluminium construction.



Gone is the solid copper core, the move to aluminium being intended to cut production costs and hit a lower price-point. Whether or not it affects performance, though, we'll discover when we get around to looking at the thermals.



So, it's all-aluminium and ruby red – with matching-coloured LEDs in the fan-spindle. Otherwise, no change.
