Thermalright Ultra-120 - Introduction and Packaging

Introduction

Thermalright is renowned for its high-end enthusiast coolers so, if you're serious about your PC, you may have already looked at the company's products or even owned one. The Thermalright cooler under scrutiny here is the ever-popular Ultra-120.

The Ultra-120 is a passive unit and let's you add your fan of choice. However, we only tested it as an active part using a 1200rpm/120mm fan, the Noctua NF-S12

Packaging

The packaging for the Ultra-120 is seriously minimalist - a plain cardboard box bearing a simple screen-printed logo. Inside, though, the contents are well protected by dense foam that holds everything in place.

Contents include a heat-sink and thermal paste – a very generous amount in a large syringe. For those of us who like that sort of thing, there's also a Thermalright case sticker.
