SilverStone Tek NT-01 V2.0 - Introduction and Packaging

Introduction

We put two SilverStone coolers through the labs, kicking off with the Nitrogon NT-01 V2.0 - an ageing design that's been given a recent revamp.

Although intended mainly for the passively-cooled requirements of home theatre PCs, the NT-01 can also be used in tower layouts if the airflows are right.

Packaging

When you look at the presentation of many of the coolers in this group review you see oversized boxes carrying big images of the products. SilverStone doesn't bother with this selling strategy for the NT-01, instead shipping it in the smallest of all the boxes we received.

Inside, the cooler is packaged at an angle, with all the accessories coming in a triangular box. A small piece of foam wrapped around the cooler protects it in transit but, even so, it's a seriously tight fit in SilverStone's chosen box.
