--- Mounting System and Fitment Time

Mounting System

As with a number of coolers we've been looking at, the Vindicator's mounting system is a simple push-pin solution much like on the Intel stock cooler.

However, the Vindicator is the second heaviest product in this round-up to use the push-pin solution and, unfortunately, due to the cooler's bulk, it's not as easy to secure as it should be. The width of the heat pipes combined with the position of the heat-sinks on our Intel test board meant that there wasn't enough space to easily push the pins down.

We ended up having to carefully reach in with a flat blade and use that to push down the pins on two sides of the Vindicator. The Intel board we used is renowned for its limited socket clearance, so pinning down a Vindicator on other motherboards won't necessarily be such a problem.

Fitment Time

Despite the messing around that was involved in getting the push-pins into place, the Vindicator still managed to return a very respectable 4th place, taking just 92 seconds (1 minute 32 seconds) to fit.
